Managing transport requests

Floe configuration settings are automatically captured onto customizing requests, and business logic in user-exits & global variables are captured onto workbench requests.

Manage the release and transport of these requests in the normal way through the SAP system landscape.

When transporting updates to existing templates, you may wish to stop Floe from creating e-mails while the transports are being imported.

We recommend the following steps

1) Stop any output batch jobs which use Floe

2) Choose a quiet time when no e-mails are likely to be triggered manually

3) Import the transport requests normally

4) Execute the configuration report and check each e-mail type for any errors. [This step should not be required, but helps in case of any missing objects on transport requests.]

5) If there are errors then check the transport request, fix and re-transport to capture any missing objects

6) When there are no errors, restart any stopped jobs.
